Larry Lennon is President of TRG Management, a full-service real estate management company. Joining the company in 2003, he is responsible for profitability and for directing daily operations, and also works with the firm’s development team on new apartment developments.
With more than 20 years of real estate management experience at some of the industry’s top firms, Mr. Lennon has managed in excess of 140,000 units during his career, and has also built or redeveloped a number of conventional and tax-credit apartment communities. With an extensive background in the redevelopment and repositioning of all types of apartment communities nationally, Mr. Lennon has supervised more than one billion dollars in construction. Mr. Lennon holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida, and an MBA from the University of North Florida.
DIVISION PRESIDENT, TRG MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Doreen Jaworski joined The Related Group in 1995 and brings more than 17 years of experience to the company. She began her career with TRG Management as a Director of Marketing with primary responsibility for the successful lease-up of more than 19 new multi-family developments representing over 3500 units. Since early 2004, until her current assignment, she has successfully managed regional portfolios of apartments for TRG ranging from 2000 to 3000 units. Having worked her way to Division President she now oversees the management of all market rate and luxury new construction projects from pre-leasing through the entire life cycle of the project. Doreen is a true expert and has supervised the lease-up of more than 12,000 apartments in the South Florida market.
Prior to joining The Related Group, Doreen, was an area manager with Napier Realty Services in Pensacola, Florida, overseeing a portfolio of 1200 units and as a District Manager with Potter Realty; with responsibility for than 1300 units. She has been an active board member with the Southeast Florida Apartment Association for 4 years. Doreen received a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University in 1988.
DIVISION PRESIDENT, TRG MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Marilyn has more than nineteen years experience in the management of multi-family housing communities. She re-joined TRG in April of 2010 as a Regional Manager after having served as President for the Housing Trust Management Group, Inc. for more than five years. Ms. Pascual was also a Regional Manager with Cornerstone Residential Management, Inc. and worked with TRG for five years early in her career where she quickly advanced from property manager to district manager. She has an excellent track record managing all types of apartment portfolios, but has an extensive history managing LIHTC, Bond and several other affordable programs.
Ms. Pascual holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
REGIONAL MANAGER, TRG MANAGEMENT COMPANY
John has over 30 years of experience in the property management business, having worked in all phases of residential and commercial management. Experience includes development, construction and major renovation, as well as, condominium conversion and condominium management. Mr. Smehyl has experienced the full spectrum of property management. His prior professional experience included being the president and chief operating officer of a national management company that operated 62,500 units in 38 states, 7.5 million feet of commercial space, as well as, the development/management of more than 2,500 units of new apartment construction.
Mr. Smehyl is a Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) and a former regional vice-president and president of the National Apartment Association. After receiving bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Florida, Mr. Smehyl completed his doctoral studies at Louisiana State University. Mr. Smehyl is also a Florida licensed Community Association Manager.
Regional Vice President, TRG MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Pat recently joined the TRG team in 2013. She has over 30 years of experience in the apartment management industry and prior to joining TRG, spent twenty-six years with Edgewood Management Corporation. During her career at Edgewood she started as a Community Manager, later became a Regional Trainer and during her last twelve years served as a Regional Manager and Regional Vice President. She has an extensive background managing affordable housing including Project Based Section 8, Section 236, 202 , PRAC, HOME, LIHTC and various Bond programs.
Ms. Shumaker also holds several professional designations including a COS, HCCP, SCHM, ARM, CPM. Served as President of the IREM Chapter 39 in Virginia, a division of IREM ( Institute of Real Estate Management-a national organization in 2001; President of the Mid-Atlantic AHMA Association, a division of NAHMA (National Affordable Housing & Management Association) in 2009-2011; and President of Virginia Apartment and Management Association , a division of NAA (National Apartment Association) in 2016.
REGIONAL MANAGER, roanoke, TRG MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Suzanne joined the Company in April of 2013 from over 20 years of affordable management experience all with F & W Management. Over the past eight years she acted as LIHTC Compliance Coordinator. Her responsibilities include the oversight of more than 19 properties including many different compliance programs including but not limited LIHTC, Home, Section 8, 236, 202 and various bond programs.
Ms. Claxton earned her Associate s Degree in Business Management from New River Community College and also holds several professional designations including her CAM, AHM and HCCP.
REGIONAL COMPLIANCE MANAGER, MIAMI, TRG MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Yara, joined TRG in 2012 to help audit, train and manage property compliance operations in Florida. Prior to moving to TRG, she was a Program Compliance Agent with First Housing Development Corporation conducting Initial and Annual Management reviews. First Housing is one of three contract compliance agents used by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation on behalf of the State of Florida Programs audited included Tax Exempt Bonds, LIHTC, SAIL and HOME.
